That is exactly what is happening. I played heroes of destiny and saw the same exact thing. It's the GLU model. In a couple of months they will ignore this game 100% and won't provide any support just being happy to grab a dime here or there from some sorry sap who just started playing.

I've been thinking the same thing. A while back there was a poll about which monster killing tournament people would like. Never happened but this is certainly possible. A jade forest tourney would rock.

Yep. Looks like it. I'm in the same boat. Been suffering stuck at 12963 GS dying for new items and saving up tokens. Now all I've done is waste time and downgrade the value of my tokens. Well at least they have made it easier for the hackers to egg gear quickly.

This is just not true. Tiered spender offered rewards based on tokens spent as well as gems used to spin token wheels. This VIP thing is strictly about spending gems. So they are similar bug far from one and the same.

Oh you mean the gems you could earn if not for the cap you have put on tapjoy gems? How about doing your advertising partner a favor and lifting that cap finally!

I've had a ton of trouble with these too as I try to level my final toon, the monk. Was even starting to feel like they nerfed the drops again but HB is dropping 2 reagents some times. Having had the same issue and gotten a response from support I can confirm that you have indeed reached your max on free tapjoy gems. BS I know. But that's the deal. You can still watch videos though. Whoooopeeee!

This will finally make me quit. Spent a lot of gems to max runes now I'm sure they'll charge me more gems to move them along. I'd be ok with that if GLU hadn't capped my gem earnings. Have fun with the new money grab - I mean update - everyone!

Wow. What a load of craap. I missed out on 69 gems this morning however I did get 3 last night so something else seems to be amiss. Also, the in game freebies do seem to work. I submitted a ticket to GLU support and expect a resopnose sometime shortly before XMas

I met Darthanian in a PVP match today and he took zero damage on any hit. Also, he was level 54. I know this used to be possible but it seems unlikely to have been acquired naturally. Not a lot if fun when it's not a fair fight

Got a vortex blade after about 1000 kills. I think it was just a way for GLU to kick me in the nuts and say "this looks like the oni blade, but you know you're never getting that"
