new player trouble using the market

OK, How do I use market, do I have to pay 5 gold to manage it before I can use it? all it tells me to do is
discharge it, where on earth does it go? Need details PLEASE!! :)

    There's two tabs on the market screen, the top one is for buying and the bottom one is where your market offers go.

    Tap the bottom tab (cash register) and you can either put in an offer to sell an ingredient or collect coins on an ingredient you've sold. I've found there's no need to expand your offers, they sell pretty quickly.
