What does the blue star (which turns gold when you click it) beside a friend in the Social Hub do?

    As far as I have heard, you cannot remove this friend from the list, as long as you don't click on the star again so it turns back to blue

    It's part of the Royal Orchid update. You won't have the star unless you've updated to the latest version.
