Will upgrading customer patience increase tips?

I'm not sure it's worth it to pay for increasing patience. Does anyone know if this increases tips?

    No, it doesn't. Patience only increases patience. 

    Only the two tip-increasing decor items increase tips. And they are apparently the only decor upgrades which carry over into duels. All other decor upgrades only count within the venue episodes.
