They do go on sale at different times. There is a way to get free gold every day. When you click the plus to the right of gold bar count it takes you to the screen where you can participate in ad things and you can get a number of gold bars or you can click on the free gold watch a short video and get 2 gold bars per video. You can do this 4 times each day. Or complete the trophy challenges. Or friends challenges
