I haven't played with this yet, but if you're saying they don't work, then it means there are no cooking tools that require seasoning (like in Pizza Paisan) or grill cooking (like Lucky Langostein) then you won't get any benefit. Try using the frenzy flash boost. I had that once happen in PP with an olive pizza.

I actually use it in a few venues. Sometimes I pick up a wrong item, especially in Big Bay (that danged ice cream machine) or Pizza Paisan (picking up the wrong sauce pizza/wrong drink) and I can hold it instead of tossing it.

I'm maxed out in some venues and it still happens in chef duels. You'll be chugging along, then suddenly no customers for 5 seconds. If I have finished with a customer and I'm waiting for the other 2 seats to fill, and it lags, i'll have to pick up those coins before someone comes.

It took me a while to get those too. How many VIP slots do you have open? Do you have food and equipment upgrades maxed and all decor that doesn't give you extra people? Do you have extra people coming in? If all else fails, wait for the next happy hour (not the upgrade, the happy hour event).

Unfortunately that's not a glitch. That's how it was changed in the update. We may not like it but we're stuck with it. It does have some benefits. For example, in PP you can serve a salad while waiting for the pasta to cook and keep the patience meter from dropping.

Is there an issue on Kindle Fires? Mine started last night. The downloading screen shows up, then it boots me out. We can't even get to the settings screen. I tried rebooting my tablet a few times. I was hoping to take advantage of the free happy hour to get some of the 5 star episodes to gold.

I avoid those no upgrades. For the most part they're a glitch. I noticed they show up most frequently after server lag when the duel takes a couple of minutes to start.

You only get the 7 seconds if he comes in. I've used it in other venues. But 7 seconds REALLY isn't a lot of time. It might only be the time you need to walk to that last person to serve it. You get the 7 seconds when he sits down. Unless you watch the clock you might not even notice it.

It works everywhere, but you only get 7 seconds when he shows up in the restaurant. It's not like they tack even 10 seconds automatically. But then, 7 seconds can mean 1 or 2 more dishes served.

I think I got through one that gave me 7. The problem is, most of the higher ones basically want you to sign your life away. I prefer getting challenged to making challenges. When I get challenged, I know how much I have to score. When I challenge someone, I don't know how good they REALLY are or if the stats are glitched.

I don't know. I've been noticing some very high PP scores in duels, so I wonder if some people got them and have already gotten the hang of them. I only get it when it says "served all customers". Why are you spending money to get gold to get boosts? You can use your coins (earned in the game) to buy the food to cook your boost recipes. Yes, it takes time for them to come up, but that's just patience. Also, don't buy the "Happy Hour" upgrade or any upgrades that…

If you look at the top of the prep kitchen (where you make the boosts) there is a timer for the inspector. It's generally about 1 day 10 hours from the most recent visit.

Cook Safe works in BBB, PP, Ultime and D&C. It works when you have the dial type timer. I'm really po'd right now. I left the game at duel score 1350, chef de partie. I got rewarded for chef de partie..... and then I was dropped 200 points from 1350 to 1150 (IOW, dropped 2 ranks to Junior cook). I don't think that's very fair.
