Prime points rewards

Ok so I placed 3rd for the 1st time in this weekend's priime event for points. My question is why do you only get one tier of rewards. I see if you finish rank 100 you get a specialty 5 star draft pick. Then if you place 50 you get the same thing. Then 17th you get one. So i assume if you place higher you would get all the rewards feom each tier? Those draft picks are why I spent so much gold to get to 3rd. Why would you try so hard to say get to 17th if you get the exact same reward as if you got 100th? I assumed it was like the club rewards where you get everything from each tier you passed. Could someone help me out here?

I posted screen shots of the rewards for each tier. I placed 3rd so i thought I would get each tier. I mean whyh would you try to get higher for less rewards?
