A-list partner to B-list? - Question

So when I became a B-lister I wanted to date an A-lister ( I know, superficial, sorry ! ) so I went on konnections and found myself one and had to bribe him like 20 K-stars to be in my contacts. We're married now and go on ( too many, he's so needy ugh ) dates and now suddenly he's a B-lister? I don't understand I thought that your partner's level never changes. So I wondering if there was anything I do to make him an A-lister again.
