Losing players after using a franchise coin ?

anyone else notice that in 19 I used a franchise coin for playoffs leveling up 2nd base Javier Baez then when his 5 games where up I looked at my roster to improve and my Ben zorbrist 4.5 star was gone they switched him to trade in for so cause of using franchise coin anyone else seen this glitch ?
