Why am I being charged more for the same products? I paid 40 dollars for garret Cole and everyone on my club and my friends are being offered the same product for 30. This is a clear violation for the ftc Robinson-patman law.
The Robinson-Patman act was to prevent price discrimination between competitors, sort of an anti-monopoly law. Glu bases prices like that on people’s spending habits and they are well within their rights to do so. Companies do this all the time, they will target certain demographic groups for discounts. By your logic, a senior discount given to the elderly are grounds for a lawsuit if they don’t offer the same discount to young folks. I like your line of thinking on this, but it has no basis in law and you have no standing to sue under the Act. You suffered no loss as you were free to either buy it or not based on the price you were quoted.
