    Everything I have read says there is zero formula to gain VIP.  Some gain it in a couple weeks some in a couple months some years and some never.  I play constantly and have spent some good coin on the game and am yet to get VIP status.  I’m not eager for the bragging rights but it would be nice to have some extra perks to go along with spending my hard earned money.

    Its all about spending...period. I've made VIP in every season by spending in the 1st week.
