Or, how about putting in franchise players that are leveled to your current club and offering players that are the current event's bonus teams/players? I'd really use the coins then to get additional points during the events.

Same here - I haven’t had anyone that could even make my current roster. Was really hoping for that 500 Altuve and yesterday’s 520 Mantle. Not even close. Pulling the same stiffs multiple times.

Forgot to mention that you'd still needs millions of $ for the team upgrades and you'd have to play dozens of seasons to level up your pennants... Upgrades and Pennants factor in overall team strength.

I think the best use would be relatively "leveled up" bonus players. There would actually be a need to collect coins at that point - if you play 200 event games over a weekend, that's potentially 200-400 coins you'd need to get a bonus player added …

Level up a legend player to gold level and it’s about 100,000 Legend XP. Trade him in and they give you less than 5,000 LXP. Bogus.
