The parts can be attached to the weapons. One slot attachment for most weapons. For some you have 10 slots attachments provided you tier up with blueprints

Takes time is an understatement ;) I have only managed to finish 2/3 of the fish hunts as the upgrades are extremely difficult to earn even with a spin every 7 hours. By contrast i have finished every dog hunt despite the one-spin-a-day policy
