So my character is a guy and I told Kim that I was interested in guys but now it only allows me the flirt interaction with girls? Is there only certain guys I can flirt with or is there a problem? If there is a problem how can I resolve it?

I don't think there's a problem. While it seems that you can flirt with any person of the opposite gender (given that they accept you), there isn't always a flirt option for people of the same gender. I had a similar issue when I wanted to try flirting with girls. After telling Kim I was interested in guys, I didn't think it was possible to find girls. But my sister (who plays a guy character) was able to date guys. And so I tried looking for girls to flirt with, but I couldn't find anyone for a while. I was finally able to find several after some time. While the situation is slightly different for you, I think it applies. I would suggest to keep looking until you find a person you like.
