can't get engaged

I'm to the max with bf and have been on plenty of great dates, but he has not propose. I was asked by another guy and I told him no. We are #1 as a couple and there is a heart next to us with a ring inside. Any ideas

I know I thought that we were already engaged (me and my wife); but actually I needed to go in a few more dates when she actually proposed. Has he called you to go on another date?
If not maybe wait until then and see if he proposes! (Or go on a few more).
