Test Thread for Images and Videos

Hi. Feel free to practice/learn how to post images or videos in the forum. I'll going to go copy and paste some easy instructions.

For Images - you need to host these images online. You can sign up for Photobucket, or it's easier to use something like http://postimage.org

In the text box, if you continue your cursor across the box header from Font, Size...continue moving right, text color, keep going, then you'll come to Insert Image, and tap that box. That brings up a little window, where you list the url of your image hosting site. ( You can go to http://postimage.org and load the image/picture you would like to post. After you load that, you select the url for the Direct Link and put it in the box on the forum.)

For a video, move one more spot right to Insert Video. When that pops up, you insert the url for the youtube video or other video you want to post. Hope that helps. I'm going to go start a thread called Test posting images and videos. You can keep trying there if you want, till you or others get the hang of it.

(When the custom color template for the KK:H Game Forum pages was rolled out, the text for the radial buttons in the top of the text box disappears, that's why you gently cursor over the strip until you find the choice you need. )

Can you add images or videos when posting from a tablet or smart phone? I'm not seeing the add image option on my iPad.

I still do, everything's the same if I use the desktop version of the forum. I use imgur.com though. It's easy.

interesting discovery. The menu above my text box shows Font and Size plus an arrow that opens Colors but no other indicators. I have to just randomly tap the bar and other features open up. I did find the insert image link but my test failed. :-(

I will keep trying.

The over abundance of stars & stripes during the weekend event reminded me of 80s hair bands.

Do y'all see my image??? Because I don't but the URL is there. I use imgur after flunking with the one Koko recommended.

I finally posted an image! Cha cha cha

Those are the shoes I want on the Top 10 list. Now I have to figure out how to make images smaller.... But not tonight. My brain hurts.

I use imgur to do that. Once you click on the image, there's a right column as shown. For sizes, I usually click the Large Thumbnail, I like that size best. Not too small, not too huge, just right for my eyes. And then since this forum doesn't allow me to see the toolbar, I get annoyed finding the Insert Image button over emptiness. And I'm also lazy to type out the [img][/img] codes, I just click the BBCode link and paste it here.

Guess I should have bolded that part. If you wander over to a different game here, you'll see the different color pages. In the original black and gold colors, the icons for the text customization is visible. When they changed us to the lovely pink and grey, the symbols disappeared. So, you don't see the labels till you gently cursor over. Start at the left, go to the right and you'll find all sorts of options. And if you go advanced, there are bullet list, number list, wrap options. Field day for expressive posting. lol.

I grabbed it. We're missing the icons, but as you can see.....nothing stands in our way of showing off our finery.

Wrap [IMG][/img]-url here- codes around your URL so:

Alternatively, you can go to imgur and get the BBCode for forums sites like these and copy/paste that here.

EDIT: Also, in Advanced posting, you can click the "Preview" button next to "Submit" to preview your post first.

If you're interested to use this website to post pics, follow these instructions step-by-step on how to post pics on http://postimage.org :

1. Browse through your files and select the pic to be uploaded.
2. Select 640×480 (for message boards) to resize your photo.

3. Select family safe as your option.
4. Click on upload your photo.

5. Choose hot link for forums (1) If you're using a phone/tablet, on the left hand corner select all to highlight the code then copy & paste to post onto the forums.
6. Choose hot link for forums (1) If you're using a laptop/computer, on the right hand corner just simply click copy to clipboard and then copy & paste to post onto the forums.

Do you want to learn how to post Youtube videos and you don't even know how? Well this is the first place to start. Follow these instructions step-by-step to start posting Youtube videos into the forums.

1. Copy & paste the code used from a previous post that was from a thread to your new post.
2. Go to https://www.youtube.com/ or youtube app and select the video of your choice. Copy & paste the link to your post.

3. Use the same code to begin copying & pasting the new link from the youtube video that you want to post. Delete the old youtube link in order for the code to work.
4.Next, highlight the url then copy & paste into the new video code.

5. After you're done, here are the final results. Here is how the code should look like before you post the youtube video properly.
6. On advanced settings, preview your youtube video and then submit it.
