You only get one item for 60 k stars. It's just like the Weekend Event 40 K star boxes, except they cost 50% more K stars. The upside is that there are no energy or Kash boxes. Every box contains an item from a previous weekend event.
If it would infuriate you to open a box and find sunglasses, you should seriously consider holding on to your K stars.
Ok thanks for the advice Holly. I had a feeling that it wouldn't be worth it to me to open up a throwback giftbox and only get one item and I don't have enough kstars to open up more. I would be upset if I'd get something that I wouldn't want to have. So I won't be participating for opening up a throwback giftbox then.

Also, going forward try your best to get all the earner items during weekend events. This way you'll have less undesirable things in comeback boxes and won't spend K Stars on previous "free" items.

I have a question about the throwback giftboxes. If I opened one gift box for 60 kstars will I get only 1 item or several items in total? I only have 101 kstars and I might open 1 giftbox since I don't have enough kstars to open up more. I want to know before I even to attempt to open it. I'm not sure if it's worth it at this point to open up a gift box. I didn't participate at the last throwback sale so I've been thinking about it before if I want to participate this time.

My finger was getting itchy...wondering if I really should stop opening Throwback Boxes. i was dreading the sunglasses but the lure of the "what if?" is very powerful. I only had enough k stars to purchase two more Throwback boxes so I told myself that I would open two and, if they were great, I would buy more K stars. So, I opened one and got the gray pants I really really wanted. Then I paused... Should I really open another? I just had awesome luck, do I risk it? I finally decided to identify which box I would open but then close the board without opening it to see what my luck would have brought in that second box. What was it? Green sunglasses. I made the right choice!!!! Woo Hoo!

I was really bummed about the timing of this throwback sale because I couldn't buy many K-stars, and I have been waiting for another throwback so I could win some of the pretty hairstyles I missed out on thanks to my atrocious luck with gift boxes, or some silver accessories. But from the looks of it the vast majority of the items offered are older ones I already have, and the ones I don't are ones I can do without (like antler hair lol) so I feel better about missing out! Hopefully the next throwback sale has more recent items, I'll spend big then.

I opened every single Throwback box at the first sale so I know exactly how you feel. While some of the stuff is dumb (I own a green boa and plastic Shamrock ring from the first sale), it's soooo exciting to get the items you've coveted. Your doll looks GORGEOUS in those two gowns.
I really couldn't afford to buy stars but I'm pretty desperate to get back the items I lost when my game glitched in February. So I caved. Didn't get the Christmas hair (and can't afford more stars) but hey I got a few things I used to have so wee!

Nixie - The Throwback Sale today includes the same items from yesterday. Hopefully there will be a "new" Throwback sale in the future. The first Throwback Sale was about 3 months ago. Glu doesn't hold these sales regularly.

Never thought about deciding if the other players are dressed for a special gig. My doll doesn't even dress for her own gigs.
I decided to try for one throwback item and got that dress. It's not my favorite, but at least, I got an outfit. I usually have bad luck and get the "junk" items.
