I can't believe it's almost here.
In a few days we'll gather round the tree to open presents
But the new event starts tomorrow, and runs along with the ongoing SYS!
So let's get a little more Ho Ho Ho in here, and get this thread opened properly.

I can't believe we did not get a Christmas event??!! There was nothing Christmassy about the weekend event so against better judgement I had hoped the Weekday event would... oy... someone really dropped the ball at Glu...

I kinda figured it would still be a professional throwback event... but I was hoping they would at least do something a little bit special. Like make our palletes full of throwback holiday items or something instead of the normal items. (Kinda like the Halloween kollections!! But as the event prize, not a separate kollection)  

But i mean... ok... just a lil disappointed

Since it doesn’t start till tomorrow, we never really know till the event starts. But Let me play devils advocate for a moment. If they came out with something ‘knock your socks off showstopping oh my God I can’t put my device down I have to keep playing until I win ‘event for Christmas then people would be out raged how can you give us this to do when we want to be with our families? so maybe by keeping it low-key the complaints are less? Maybe?

plus let’s not forget we still have the SYS running.   Face it, if you were phoning in the family stuff because your heads in the game all day, that wouldn’t be right.  I think they always run a few scenarios, and then try to choose for the greater good.  As it is now, i’m Not in time for my tickets every 6 hours.  I have gifts to wrap, menus to plan, finishing touches on the house, and then make sure 9 have Bobbie pins and whatever I might need for my tiara Christmas morning.
ok, you all scoff now. But the first time i’m Having a bad day and it gets better when I put my little princess crown on...you’ll see.  I’ll let you know how it works on cramps!  More dietetic than ice cream.  And really. Is not each and everyone of us girls a princess inside?  I bet they got me one, and I bet I will love it.  
Next year you ask?  Swarovski has a lovely Crystal wand.

Thanks. I have had no time to look at anything anywhere. lol. WHen I wasn't here I was shopping, when I wasn't online I was finding new things to light up around the house. Next time I am doing breakfast, will someone remind me, I am not a breakfast buffet. I don't need to make waffles and french toast. I don't know where the day went. OMG, time for a new look soon. Happy SYS everyone.

I totally spaced out that the weekday thread is open. I am okay that we are having a typical  event, I am so TIRED.
SYS is kicking my peach. But let’s not forget that New Year’s is coming. I am expecting a lot of glitter.

I agree with @kokokokonut’s post about keeping the game low key over the holiday but that’s exactly the reason why this past weekend event should have had a Christmas theme AND why Glu shouldn’t have run SYS this week. 

I don’t understand Glu’s thought process this year.  
The Christmas tapables were removed before Christmas.
The holiday items in the daily gift boxes had no connection to Christmas.
The “spread the joy” gifting boxes were lackluster and not a single one was “Christmasy.”
The weekend event didn’t have any holiday items nor was there a holiday storyline.
The weekend event was so anti-the spirit of Christmas that we couldn’t even invite a friend to work the three gigs with our dolls.
Glu didn’t even bother to have Kim show up in her cute Santa dress.

Not overly motivated to go for TB kollection this week. Good job really as there's not much I really want. Red shoes and Xmas hair are cute but not too bothered if I don't reach it this week
