Can't Change Dolls Name?

Is there no way to change your characters name? I wasted 50 stars thinking I could change it, then figured maybe it would give me the option after changing my username. Now I've just lost fans for no reason. I don't want to change my username, I already changed it thinking it might change my characters name as well but it didn't

    You can change your name any time by visiting Maria’s office. However, changing your identity means that fewer people may recognize you soon after, so you will lose 30% of your current fans. Thankfully, you can always earn them back!
