Worried about my connection

This issue may still be going on because I loaded up my game and now I have 0 diamonds and 0 dyes. I hardly dye items as it is. However, I turned off the WiFi and then turned on the mobile data and then turned WiFi back on and my currencies returned. So could someone provide some information or advice? This is exactly the kind of problem that they were describing.
