Honestly, I’m still so angry with how Glu handles this game that I’m not even sure when or if I’m gonna start this event. But I’ve prepared these looks a while ago, so I might as well post them. I’m sure Glu will try to push that long skirt and blue top for diamonds as clothes fitting the theme in Kim’s phone call, to make people buy them, but I think I found some nice alternatives in my kloset:

I have enough diamonds to get the skirt, but I don’t know if it would be worth it because I got really bad scores when I used the coke handheld. I have a feeling people are purposefully not voting because it’s a diamond item. Honestly I don’t like the skirt that much but I just feel like I have literally nothing to go with this theme.

I am actually so excited for this theme! I love when we get the chance to be creative and do something different, cause I feel like I'm tired of always getting the same themes (gowns and swimsuits)

@lexbaby42 imo diamonds are way too rare to buy a skirt that you don’t like that you’ll only use for one sys. There are some skirts available for kash in the kloset that have a similar silhouette that should be quite useful 💞

@lexbaby42 I’m against buying these “helpful” items in general, but in that case it’s definitely a waste of diamonds imo because the skirt is not even that cute. I’m not sure if you want to spend any kstars on this event, but there’s a few options in the kloset that are way nicer and will match more themes in the future, like these two dresses:

And also I’d wait with any purchase to see what’s the popular vote in the voting booth and what actually scores well for other people! Maybe were gonna be forced to use gowns or something, you never know lol

I dont ever think its worth it to buy an item for one sys theme, if its a recurring theme or an item you know you'll get to use it a lot I think its worth it, but spending kstars and specially diamonds for an item you will use once and it will lock and then you *might* get to an earnable or ts item that sometimes you wont use a lot (especially on specific themes, like this one that will probably will be a retro item) doesnt make a lot of sense for me.

@thallisa @PixiDust that’s what I figured. I tried a female greaser kinda look so I think it is encouraging me to be more creative because I have very little that seems to go with this theme whereas I have endless gowns and swimsuits for those type of events 😂

In all seriousness, I can’t wait for this theme, I don’t know if I’ll be able to come up with good looks but it’s definitely a creative theme, and we don’t have those often unfortunately so I’m excited!

super excited for this theme 😊 i wish i had enough diamonds for the pie handheld though, it would suit the theme so well.

sucks because IF i was chosen for the weekday SYS i would have enough diamonds 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s so very ridiculously UNFAIR that there is no compensation and yea i’m still pissed about it haha.
