@therealChar@Unwinter so i donāt understand cultural appropriation and i hate blacks now because i said another persons game isnt your business? i dont use black hairstyles (i never have) and i dont play with a black doll (i never have) because i know its offensive. my point is that people dont need permission and are going to play how they want and its up to you to choose your battles. because again, at the end of the day you dont even know whoās behind the screen and you have zero power. to each their own though im #loggingout
Your absolutely right about us not having control over what they do but just because you feel like we have zero power doesnāt mean our words donāt and thatās the problem. Yes we can say this stuff till weāre blue in the face but at the end of the day if even 5 out of 500 people finally understood the message, weāve made an impact. Your original comments were a form of gaslighting which isnāt cool and if there were things going on with your race and culture that you really cared about Iād urge you to inform people and encourage them to read up on it. People of all colors have to get past that āIāll just be quiet cause itās a battle I canāt winā mentality because the second you stop advocating youāve already lost it.Ā
@chocolatedrop98 i cant tell you how much i appreciate this response. no memes or insults. respectful and to the point. so thank you. i agree that educating just one person is enough even if 99 dont care to listen. my point and opinions stem from my own experiences and my own struggles so when i say to pick and choose your battles its me suggesting my own way to cope and handle things. like i said in my original post i just wanted to share a different perspective. iāve read several self help books and the number one tip that has stayed with me is that allowing yourself to be angry over something you have no control over is hurting no one else but yourself. again, thatās my point. if i offended anyone or came off as dismissive which i see where that can be the case i am truly sorry. for people to start saying that i hate blacks and that i donāt understand how things are offensive is highly upsetting because thatās just simply not the case and the fact that i led people to think that based off my posts then i failed trying to get my point across. @therealChar i sincerely hope you donāt think i āhate blacksā and that iām trying to silence you because the truth is far from that. we are all different with different views and if someone states A is offensive and another states B is offensive then we need to respect each one and not just A because itās āworseā in your opinion. (i hope that makes sense).
and psa. iām not going to post anymore on the matter since iāve already overstepped my boundaries. thanks again @chocolatedrop98 for the respectful reply.Ā
@samanthakkh anytime theres someone taking about black injustice here you are to take away from the conversation and never learn nor listen to what's being said no one has to nicely tell you things and you purposely do it to stir up drama and take away from what's being said. It should be enough for you that we dont like it and it upsets us. You've shown in your tone deaf comments you will look for any excuse for this to be ok.Ā Just like it wasn't ok for what I said. You learn u grow you dont make excuses why someone would want to use poc on a white doll. There is so little representation when it comes to hair for black people in this game. You cant let us have the few we have ?Ā
I haven't posted on this forum in a long time, but I was so irritated by the last update that I needed to get in here to see if more people were feeling the same as me and I ended up facing this whole discussion. What I think is that here on this forum most players are women. Perhaps 99% of this forum is composed of women and for that reason I think it would be interesting to put aside what sets us apart and join with what unites us. I am white af and obviously have never been discriminated by the color of my skin but I am sure that me and a black or Asian girl face the sexism of this world every single day. And this is what unites us. Our condition as women living in a sexist society. I just think that by thinking like this we will be able to look at each other with more compassion and with less hatred. And from there, it will be possible to have more respect and understanding in all other areas.
Perhaps the white girl is going through or has already gone through the same situation of sexist discrimination that the black girl has also gone through just because they are women. So I think it would be a good idea to discuss it too and from there it would be possible to identify more with each other and better understand what the other feels about many other things, including racism, xenophobia, etc.
I hope I have not offended anyone with my comment. I just wanted to offer a new perspective on all of this and show that it is possible to be united even with so many differences in color, race, country, religion and languages āāthat exist in this forum. Because in the end we all share the same female condition. United women are more powerful and together we can fight against any injustice.
PS: Sorry, but English is not my native language and I haven't written an English text in a long time, so there are probably some errorsĀ

Ā Hi, Paty! I do understand where you're coming from but I feel like itās impossible to talk about what unites us without acknowledging what sets us apart. All women face sexism, thatās true, but I saw a research once that proved that poc women faced more harassment than white women. I agree with you that we need to be united, but I donāt think the answer is to put aside what sets us apart š

here we go. i was trying to be nice and settle the conversation but since you wanna continue and use an unnecessary tone here i am with an attitude. please provide receipts of me in the past stepping into a conversation about black injustice and trying to take away from it? because iāve never done that so idk what youāre talking about or where you got that from? HERE I AM YES HERE I AM. seriously i can comment on whatever tf i want to comment on and if you have such a problem with me commenting on a community forum then mute me or something because this isnāt the first time youāve said āhere you areā like um yes hi. check yourself girl before making false statements especially because youāre more active on here and involved in ādramaā than i am LOL. iĀ never learn or listen to whatās being said? girl i defended black culture all the previous times this conversation has been brought up SO again please provide receipts since you wanna make false claims about me. iām not looking for excuses for a white doll to wear the afro hair you missed the point completely and honestly i donāt care. iām happy glu is creating more black features... where did i say i didnt agree with that? again a false claim and you missed my point completely. seems that selective reading is very much present here. and umm yes people need to be nice and say things respectfully if they want any type of respect back soo miss me with that āwe dont need to be niceā bs. because being rude and having such a defensive tone is not going to work. i was trying to be nice and i didnāt want to post anymore about this topic but since youāre coming at me with inaccurate claims and an ugly tone HERE I AM. š hi.Ā
@samanthakkh anytime I see your name on here youāre fighting about the same one thing, while refusing to listen to anyone who explains why youāre wrong to you.
edited to add: there are more than a few people on this forum who consistently step up during this conversation and give explanations to some who might not deserve it. There isnāt one person whoās spearheading āa movementā and nothing should be invalidated because of the way one person acts or reacts.Ā
@ShayShigil soo its not okay for me to fight about the same one thing (which is what though lol?) but itās okay for others to? this is exhausting and quite frankly ruining my weekend. if you or anyone has something you so desperately need to say to me then my dms are open.Ā @SisSnappedLikeThanos please provide receipts of a post of mine that is disrespectful and warrants others to be rude to me?Ā
Ā .... literally nobody asked for your opinion and nobody asked for you to get involved in this so I find it hilarious youāre trying to say this is ruining your weekend? mind your business next time then if itās affecting you so bad?šāš¼ you know whatās reallyĀ exhausting? all of the black dolls having to deal with this crap every single day this week and every single time a new BIPOC hairstyle is introduced in the game.Ā @samanthakkh

i donāt think in this entire thread or any other thread literally ever has someone been explicitly asked for their opinion. but go off yaāll. iām soo over this conversation and how easy it is for people to misconstrue literally everything. youāre mad because you wanna be mad. i didnt start posting my opinions to start drama or be disrespectful. i didnt know i wasnt allowed to contribute to the conversation and in no way was i being rude or disrespectful. take it how you wanna take it. iām done entertaining yaāll and making it my problem when its not. lol bye @Poopnuggets69@ashleyl23 ........ itās hypocritical exactly. are you guys 12? ashleymedds was being hypocritical sooooo hence my response. lmao itās called irony and sarcasm.Ā
looks 7-10, I hateeeeee repeating the same hairstyle or clothes so much but I feel like its on theme and i don't like any other hairstyle I have thats on theme lol. doing pretty greatĀ
I think itās very upsetting how negative the forum became.Ā We all have an opinion and nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with stating our opinion, what is bad is when we expect everyone else to go along with our opinion.Ā We all are free to have our opinion yet we should accept the fact that not everyone will agree. Please be respectful with each other. A few days ago I didnāt knew what cultural appropriation means and before that I said something that might offended some players. After that I deleted my comment and started to research and apologized. I think we can all learn from each other in some way.Ā No one is the same, and we all have different life experiences. Ā Edit: It stops when itās getting racist, thatās not something to tolerate at this point.

Honestly I wish I could come back at you with something but honestly just lost for words with how.... erm donāt wanna get bannedĀ
You realize a majority of this started due to white dolls ASKING if it was okay for them to use the free gift afro or change their doll to black to then use the afro?So the opinion of BLACK dolls was explicitly asked....? You are only in this conversation because you decided to insert yourself in a convo that has NOTHING to do with you, something you like to do often. And not only did you insert yourself, you inserting yourself with some nonsense bullshit? ItĀ doesnāt matter if you didnāt post your opinions with the intention to start drama or be disrespectful. Your intentions can be whatever the hell you want in your convoluted brain but you still did it. You can contribute to the conversation all you want, what you CANāT do is tell black people that they need to be okay with racism. Nobody asked for you opinion because you yourself arenāt black and you tried to say that everyone should be able to style their doll however they want which is insensitive and dismissive of black dollsā feelings. YOU made it your problem by piping in so next time you just need sit there and not ruin your own weekend.Ā

I've stayed off the forum today because I got a lovely message in my inbox telling me I'm in the wrong for speaking up and taking a stand against racism. It really bothered me and pissed me off, so I deleted the message and honestly thought about every word last night. I should have replied to them, but I didn't. James told me they were trying to start crap and just ignore ignorant people like that. So I tried and I deleted it and I can't remember the username to reply. So I'll speak my mind here simply because I can't get it off my mind. Sorry y'all, but this will be a long post.
This was something they told me "you're white, so you have an easy life and don't know what it's like to live in a world where you fear anything. Be happy for that. Those kind of people you defend on this site brings this upon themselves. You act like you know about black culture when you are a white family. You bring whatever on yourself when you decided to get with one of them black guys.Ā You always talk about braiding your white kids hair and it's wrong, nobody wants to see white kids with an afro style hair. People act like black is special or something when it's not, when we were the original people in this country. No one should want to wear that ugly hair anyway." Also, They did mention that they 19 andĀ white.
Firstly, speak on me all you want, but leave my kids outta this.Ā Yeah, I am white. And? Everyone should take a stand against what's wrong, especially racism. Easy life? Lmaooo I wished. I don't know fear? Okay, keep thinking that. I fear daily, not necessarily for myself but my family. I fear everytime my children, especially my boys since they look like adults, walk out of the house. They can't do things their white friends can. If they get stopped by the police, they have to act a certain way. They can't speak words that may come off as resisting or it will end badly. From the time each of them were young, I had to give them a speech on what to do and say to authority figures. They can't walk in a white neighborhood with a hoodie on bc it's seen as a threat in this fu**ed up world. I fear when my husband is out alone and if he gets pulled over. Or if any of them are around people who yell awful words at them. I've been called racist towards white people before, as well as a "race trader". I've been told to take myself and my family "back to Africa". I've been harassed by cops because my husband is a dark skinned black man, or black king as I say. I can go on and on, but I won't. My point is, I'm not judged by my skin color, but I am judged for everything else. I won't pretend to know what black folks go through personally. "Those women" on here brought it upon themselves?? Please explain that to me! "Those women" you refer to are strong, beautiful black Queens who will face more hell in this life than you will ever know!!
You're 19, so you are still a kid who needs to grow up in this world. Watch how you speak! Your wording is even racist, especially when you refer to someone as "one of them" and "those". I feel sorry for you that you're so full of hate and anger.Ā
As far as braiding my kids hair...yep, I do all the time and any style. I was braiding hair before I had kids. Then, after I had my first son two months after I turned 18, I learned more hairstyles. I won't explain why because you're not that smart, apparently. They're not white, dumbass. It's simple. I'm white, my husband is black, so guess what you get when you mix those two races?? š¤š± That makes my kids biracial..which if you're an active member on here you know that because I speak about my babies and hubby often.Ā
"Get with one of them back guys"... Right.... Okay. The wording alone screams racist to me. I was 16 when I met my husband. We were high school sweethearts, got pregnant at 17, had my first son at 18. Now, almost 18 years later, we're happily married with four kids. His race had nothing to do with me falling in love with him, so I'm not sure what you're referring to here.
My family... Hmm last time I checked, I was the only white person in my household. But what does that matter? I know black culture because I have children who need to know their history. Even if I didn't have black children, I would learn about it because it's the right thing to do. Apparently your parents didn't raise you to do the same. Instead they raised you to be uneducated, racist, and full of hate.
The hair in question...I assume you mean the new fro. It's beautiful, but it's not meant for dolls who are not black. It's plain and simple. Why people can't understand that is beyond me.Ā
Original people here? I assume you mean America. All I'll say is go get educated yet again. Learn about Native American's and what happened. I know that deeply as well because that's my heritage. You sound like a racist clown.
One of these days you will keep speaking out the side of ya neck and you're gonna get ya ass whipped for it. And tbh, I hope you do. So take your white privilege self off this forum, go get educated about real life, and grow up. If you would like to reply, please do so and don't be a coward.
I'm sorry for posting something so long and disturbing the forum, but I couldn't let it go. I don't pretend to know what anyone goes through and I never will, but I know what I go through, as well as my family. I'll never be silent when it comes to taking a stand against racism.Ā
