Iād just like to say as I myself am a part of the lgbtq+ community and I have friends and family that are too, it was not my intention to use the flags as an accessory. They are something to be proud of. I really donāt think youāve grasped what itās like to have children. Parents truly go through so much in supporting their kids as well, I know because as an autistic and bisexual person, my mom has gone through hell and back with me. Iād never rid her of the right of saying that sheās been through so much as well. Unless you have a transgender and bisexual child yourself, you too have no right to speak on a motherās perspective. Obviously we don't actually know anything about @IzzaBee life other than what they have chosen to share with us, but let's say you're right and that this person and their family have never had to go through the terrible things that the LGBTQ+ community have had to go through. I'm pansexual, and I'm thrilled by all the love and support in the community right now. I think all the flags are perfect for anyone to use if they want to - whether it's for the SYS, day to day styling, educational purposes, or to completely ignore. Right?? Gatekeeping is such an insecure thing to do, Iām so glad I had true friends who helped me embrace and accept my bisexuality, instead of friends who told me I have to be 100% sure about everything. The LGBTQ+ community isnāt supposed to be some secret service. Itās for anyone who identifies as not being straight and cis, and also for straight allies. Ummmm the flags are literally accessoriesā¦.you wear them, you hang them, you identify with them. If they have a personal meaning to you then it is just that āpersonalā. Your identity and sexuality is personally for you. These flags were created to identify people on every spectrum and to give them something tangible to celebrate who they are if they choose to.As someone who is gay and married, accessorizing with the flag doesnāt offend me and to outright push your personal views on someone is rude. To assume that someone does not know the plight and fight because they are not on the lgbtqia+ spectrum is also rude. To have an ally is like having a diamond and we should appreciate anyone who is not ashamed to hold one of our flags. People have died and struggled to be visible. Hun, you were the one who decided to engage after the person who felt disrespected, apologized. Just bc it's a game doesn't automatically mean that you can't disrespect cultures or communities. You're so pressed about arguments that didn't involve and that were already over. Babe, did you want a reaction? Bx that's what it felt like.
