Show Your Style: Duets is a new event type that lets you dress up yourself and a partner to win prizes. Each submission will have 2 looks and players will vote on the looks you created for you and your partner. Keep styling amazing looks to progress in the event and win clothes. Imagine all the possibilities!

A new voting system will be introduced for SYS: Duets and each submission will earn a heart score. The more hearts you earn, the more prizes you can win! Each submission will get a score between 0 and 5 hearts. It’s possible to receive a score such as 3.5 out of 5 hearts. The new hearts system is currently planned for SYS: Duets and if you love the new hearts system, then it may get applied to all SYS events!

Now you can also buy and collect clothing items for the opposite gender! Although you can not wear them, you can dress your contacts with that clothing and use it for SYS: Duets. When you get an item for the opposite gender, it’s yours and you’re free to use it for any NPC contact. That means you can dress up multiple contacts in the same clothing. Your current spouse could wear your ex’s clothes!

There are a few ways to get clothing for the opposite gender: 1) shop for your contacts in the closet 2) win items from gift boxes 3) shop looks in the SYS voting booth 4) shop lookbooks from your squad. No more need for gender-specific squads!

If your partner in SYS: Duets is the same gender as you, they can share your wardrobe!

How can I submit looks for Show Your Style: Duets?

You start by selecting an NPC contact you want to create a look with. Then you dress yourself and your contact with clothing you own. You can swap which doll is on the right and which is on the left. You can move one in front of the other if one doll is holding an item you want to highlight. That way you can make sure you’re not blocking each other!

You can modify the 2 looks as much as you want before you submit. Once the looks are submitted, it is final.

It costs 1 ticket per submission and each submission features 2 people.

Who can I pick to be my Show Your Style: Duets partner?

You can select an NPC from your professional or romantic contacts to be your partner. They can be male or female. Some of the special NPCs can not be selected. Unfortunately, you can not select Facebook friends.

Each submission can be female/male, male/male, or female/female. These combinations will be matched against each other in the voting booth. For example: a female/male look can be matched up against a male/male look.

What clothing can I use to dress my partner for Show Your Style: Duets?

If the partner you select is the same gender as your doll, they can wear anything in your current wardrobe. That awesome dress you own? They can wear it! Those killer heels? Strap them on!

The cooldown time before you can wear those items again will be shared between both of you. You can not wear the same piece of clothing as your partner in one submission.

If you select a partner of the opposite gender, they will be able to access your owned items for that gender. Imagine how many combinations of looks you’ll be able to create!

I have read it a couple of times and I don’t understand it. Also I don’t want to use npc with my looks lol
i still don’t like new sys we have now. I really don’t want this 🙈
oh and I agree sometimes it’s hard with one doll and now it’s 2 🙈

Not interested in this considering how other ideas we never asked for worked out. And I'm not spending Kstars for more outfits options for the SO. I'm tired of Glu springing things on us with no previous warning. I've learned not to trust it.

Well if we can get any benefits from this then why not! Extra prizes? K-stars?
Although its not clear if all of the SYS gonna be like this or would be there a single SYS as well?

For me, it's not even whether or not men's fashion interests me. I just don't want to have spend Kstars on the SO when I'm saving for the sale and I never wanted this.

I don't mean to be cynical of every little thing that I see...but...is this necessary? I'm just wary of how many bugs and glitches this feature had to be riddled with.
The last two glitches practically wiped out all my stashes, and customer service has been as helpful as wearing a tank top in a blizzard. I'm sorry, I'm really trying my best not to be rude or mean, but this is just tiring to see. If you guys really want to see increased profits (which is a very reasonable and fair goal to have), I think it's best to first start by fixing the actual problems instead of inventing new ones.

Rigged diamond boxes, rigged weekly boxes, rigged SYS events, the curse of 30s after 60s, unchanging TB boxes, infinite dyes, having the same BF/Kimi/etc. sales for 7 years straight, missing resources, CUSTOMER SERVICE helping some players and ignoring the rest, the fact that we have to screenshot every other second because you guys are lazy to pull up the logs yourselves (and don't say that you can't because I've seen some reps pull up logs while others dismiss me because of 0 screenshots), etc.

I mean there are just so many problems already that I'm not sure why this is needed. I'm like 110% sure this feature won't be properly tested and we'll be the victims of that mess all over again. Goodness, I can just see these impending glitches that are just waiting to happen. I'm sorry. Not trying to be rude or mean, but you guys really need a reality check. Is it so hard to ask what players want and give them that??

@KalindaKing does this mean the weekday SYS events are going away? I will be so sad if so. I love getting stars, diamonds, and silver gift boxes every week.

There are currently 2 SYS Duets events planned in November and then we'll see. Weekday SYS Throwback events will continue! Women's clothes are for women and men's clothes are for men. As an example, if you buy men's clothes for Josh then another NPC like Ben can wear it too.

I don’t know how to feel about this and I agree with @AliBryant hope the weekday sys events are not going away, for me they're like a mini break from the stress of weekend sys, I don’t care about missing tickets and I also love getting extra kstars and diamonds. Just the thought of coming up with outfits for two dolls instead of one is making me tired and anxious 🥴

I don't hate it tbh and I probably would be more excited as a fashion fanatic but there's so much to fix and way more important things to implement, this seems kinda out of the blue and unnecessary? I do like the family aspect of the game but it's neglected so much the same way male dolls are. Wouldn't it have been just smarter to hire 1 or 2 people who could have designed something for male dolls instead of doing this?

Does this mean we’ll get opposite gender items in boxes now? Like, when it comes to Christmas boxes, we will no longer have a 100% chance of getting an item we can wear?

I mean.. there are so many other things that we have been asking for FOREVER. Some of the things that we have been begging for are update to babies, a new place, updated throwback boxes or being able to stack 3 tickets.. it feels like we’re talking to a wall.

So now regardless of whether we want this or not, we'll be getting male items in our boxes? So I'll be spending kstars on items that my doll can't even wear? It's already hard to get the items I actually want and instead of removing useless things like kash, dye and outdated ugly clothing, they'll now add clothing for males smh 

Not everyone is so invested in their SO or family to spend on them. If I wanted to dress up males I would create a male doll. Imagine the stress of picking outfits from a limited wardrobe.

Out of all the things that people in this community ask for, some of them are such simple things that make sense as well, yet Glu completely ignores our suggestions and comes up with some wacky ideas. This is too random to be random. Just seems like another cash grab.

Why not just give male dolls items instead of forcing those items on female dolls that can't use them? If this makes the game even worse, I might take a break from it. Plus I'm assuming this would mean male dolls getting items they also can't use.

I don’t want to spend my precious stars on male items/clothing that I’m never going to wear, I’d rather get items that my doll can wear instead. Items for the opposite gender shouldn’t be in gift boxes!!! It’s already hard enough spending our currencies to get items we want, now we might be getting items that we’ll never use instead??? I hate this. I might stop playing.
So now we won’t be able to get outfits for us easily (it was already hard before and now it’s even harder) and the votes are all rigged anyway 😒
