I’m beyond sad that I just started getting into the game again and this is what happens 😭 the diamond boxes being 15 is insane but now somehow when you tie you basically lose prizes because of it?! Not fair and something needs to be done. I kinda liked the heart idea because I thought it gave me a chance against ticket buyers that don’t submit great looks but now anyone who ties can miss out on getting a prize. With the introduction of Show Your Style Duets, there will be more
ties that occur because your overall scores are lower with the hearts system.
Changes to ties will affect all SYS events going forward. Here’s how it works:
If you and another player in your Trendsetters group have the same
total score, then you are both eligible to collect the same prizes and change
your Style Level accordingly. For example, if you and another player are tied
for 2nd place, then both of you can collect the 2nd place prizes and move to
the higher Style Level. If you are tied at a lower rank, then both of you would
move to the lower Style Level.
If 2 players have a tied score, they’ll share a rank on the
leaderboard. The next player with a unique score will get a new rank based on
how many players are placed above them. For example, if 3 players tie for 2nd
place, then the next player with a unique score would be in 5th place
because there is the 1st place player and then 3 players in 2nd
place.

So you're saying that even if there's NO ticket buyers, but if there's still a dozen people above me who have 70 hearts and I have only 69.5, there's a chance I can get demoted? Wow. Well, thanks a ton for once AGAIN confirming how awful and despicable you are, Glu. The more pay-to-play schemes you indulge in, the more we'll start showing ourselves out the door.
But watch this! Despite the negative feedback, watch them make Duets a permanent thing anyway. They'll take all our feedback of how Duets is fun, but they'll conveniently ignore the parts where we said that it's exhausting and now there'll ignore the backlash over the ranking system too.
Good job, Glu. You told us to be more "open-minded", right? Well now it's your turn. Be as "open-minded" as you can be too when you see players permanently leaving the game out of disgust.

I accidentally spent 60 kstars on clothing for a random NPC (because the jacked showed up on my owned items bc it was ANOTHER npc's clothing???? idk what happened?????) AND THEN GOT A 0 HEART SCORE ON THAT LOOK i'm about to cry

Every time I submit a new look it says I only have 2 votes and it pushes me down to last place and then when they new looks votes come in it finally combines the total and puts me where I’m supposed to be. 😭
Also my votes do not only not match my total in the TS list but also on the progress bar it seems not to be matching 😅 this is such a joke and I don’t even know if it’s a glitch or just some other weird brainfart from glu like the ‘if people are tied in front of you, you drop 2 places!! 😀’ - logic
Ok unpopular opinion but I haven't been totally hating duets. Here's what I'm thinking, both pro and con:
• Happy to see that Glu has incorporated gift boxes into the earnables, as well as earnable clothing items. • Happy that we can style NPCs with our own items. •Curious about whether getting an average 3.5 hearts per look is doable. I haven't gotten a second earnable in months, it's not fair that free players can never get these no matter what. Like, you have to give us SOMETHING for our time, we're still making helping you by voting, watching ads and doing offers. Our time is not nothing. • I'm getting okay scores... but this could easily change. Changing the scoring system doesn't change the scores we get. • It takes a lot more time to make these looks. It's kinda fun, but if we start having duets every weekend I absolutely will not participate, it takes too long. Like if we had it once a month, it could actually be a fun, cool thing! (As long as the glitches are fixed, second earnables are doable, and our votes don't turn out like before-- terrible.) • I'm a queer player, and I've been worrying about homophobia in the VB... my scores are okay, but I haven't seen ANY sets of two Male-presenting dolls, which seems weird. I hope our gay dolls are getting a fair run at the earnables, because this would be a huge problem if not!
In my opinion so far, I don’t even hate duets as far as the idea of it. It’s fun dressing up two characters and I kind of like the mechanic of it. I hate the glitches, though. My total score isn’t showing up correct in the tier system AT ALL. It’s saying I’m rank 24 with like 8 points when I have 19. It’s also not showing all of my points for the earnables either. I have a total of 19 hearts currently with finished looks and it’s showing 17 on the earnables. So both systems are glitched for me currently. I also think it’s ridiculous that people under ties are being listed as way below the deserved number. If there’s 2 people in 2nd place, the next person should be 3rd! Not 4th or whatever. That’s so ridiculous. It never worked that way, why change it now? This is all so stressful. I don’t even hate this new layout, I hate the glitches. I know I won’t even win anything, I’m just hoping I can get the earnables at this point.
