  I chose the convince option and was set up with a D-lister named Tony Murphy, and that was when I chose 'guys' when she asked who I was interested in. When you date someone who is ranked high (A-lister, B-lister, etc.), you gain fans. I can't remember how many I got exactly, but it was surely more than the other two options since you used stars to use that option.
