Tapping on the Money, Stars, Hearts, etc

When you are in a challenge and you complete one of the tasks like "socialize", "pose for group photo" do you have to tap on the money, stars, etc to get them?

Ads keep coming up whenever I complete something and by the time I click out of the ad all those little things are gone!

Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

    You do not need to tap them to get them. The only think tapping them does is reduce time off of your energy clock. Each time you tap one it takes 5 seconds off. If you don't tap nothing bad happens and you get all of your energy/money etc.
