How do I get rid of a friend?!

I accepted a friend request from someone from the Game Center but they have so many fans (73 mil and growing) that I can't get to the number 1 spot. How do I unfriend them? I checked my friend list in the Game Center but their name isn't on it. Is there some other way to remove them? Thanks in advance.

    You should just try and overtake them, it's what the game is about after all xD But if you really want to remove them you have to unfriend them on Game center. If you have successfully done this, it does take a few days to take effect in the game :)

    I never did remove them. When I went to unfriend them, their name wasn't on my list. So I wasn't sure if there was another way to do it or if I was looking in the wrong spot or something. But yeah, you're right. I will just try and beat them. That will probably be more fun anyway. Thanks for the info. :)
