Gamecenter friends and dating

I want to date a friend I have on gamecenter, and I have before but all of sudden he's not showing up when I want to invite him on a date, why not?!?!? Help! I'm supposed to go on 3 dates with him so we can get married but he doesn't show up when I click on the heart icon at a restaurant!
