If you are playing on an apple device i would recommend connecting with friends via GC rather than FB, also you can only connect with other apple players, it's not possible for android and apple players to connect with one another.
If you are playing an Android device try connecting with friends via Google+, this seems to work a lot better than Facebook.
It would be nice if after you get married husband takes you out or has capability of doing nice things for his wife. As well if they did husband and wife things, like when at home if they could conversate. This could help the dating rank as well.
