Not able to start new jobs

Ever since the weekend special started, neither Simon or Maria has called me to do any jobs. I am at level 11 and I have 4 pending jobs under the tasks bar and they all have said available soon for 3 days. My game is up to date and don't know why I can't start any jobs. The only thing i can do is work at Kardash, go on dates or throw parties at my house. Help!!

on the gig tabs on the left, those gig boxes should say "call now" and you click one, and Simon should call and ask you to do the job you hit call now for.

Once the job is available it says Available soon Call Now. Simon won't call you to take the job while you're in a job he sent you to. So, when it's available, it sits there, eventually he might call for it, but if I have more to do than one, I check the bottom right tabs to see which job offers how much reward.
