Purple Star?

Recently many of my NPC contacts have this weird purple star (instead of A-B-C-D list)? Does this mean something?

Hi alpacacapa! I have had that one with Daryl before, if it is regarding one of the NPC's then in my case I usually find that their rank is still undetermined. Give it some time and it will show what rank he is.

NPC people with purple stars are considered as Anonymous in game, no fame and no one cares about them (which is sad cuz some are very pretty XD) Their rank is even under E-list, or else can say that they have no rank in celebrity list.

I have an NPC dude with D-list but ranking "?????" so I think the star icon could mean which position in celeb list a player or NPC stands (A-B-C-D-E list or no list at all), not much related to his/her ranking number.

One of my contacts have that and it's been like that for awhile, could mean they haven't been on for awhile so there status is undetermined till they get back.

Perfect explanation xPixieeex. Adding that, just because the contact has gone purple/blue with no rank or anything, you don't have to stop the relationship. You continue to build relationship points with that contact, and sometimes they come back. It could be a connection issue or something.

So if I continue my relationship with them, the purple star changes?

No sorry. Purple Star, Paisley Star, whatever. You can continue your relationship as if they were #1 Alisters. Their position in the game doesn't affect your game. You can start working with/dating other people, with normal looking stars and ranks, or you can continue your relationship weather it's professional or dating.

Here, my spouse in the game turned blue/purple. But, we're Couple #38 in my game. Because I don't know what's up with them, I can either break up and start over with someone else, or continue to date my guy from the Blue Man Group. He went purple when we were #45. I'm still dating him and we're still moving up.

That is what I meant by you can continue the relationship. Sure, he'll be a stiff at the Thanksgiving Dinner table, but as long as the relationship is giving relationship points, I'm in. Oh, and my Purple man still gives me the loot payment daily.

Summing up, the color of your contact doesn't influence your gameplay. In my case, he fluctuates, but appears to be on the way back. That's all about his game, and not mine.
