VIP event weekend??

I just got a notification that said "VIP event and bonus stars all weekend! Come play!" But when I opened my game, nothing. I know it's not Friday yet so it wouldn't technically be up but I was just wondering if anyone else got it too. I'm on iOS playing version 4.7.0
