39th Week of the Year - Will we have a Midweek Event?

Title says it all. Summer is gone, the holidays are drawing near, it's the 39th week of the year, and we're hoping...yeah I said it, our fingers are tired, but the drive is real. We're hoping for another midweek event with prizes and fun.

We should just call this the waiting room. Do you remember what it was like before MidWeek events? I remember us sitting around on Monday, waiting for the Teaser to drop on Thursday. This feel so very different. We're sitting around now, waiting for a Teaser to drop for a midweek.

Let's not be upset if there is none. We can rest, and revitalize those tired digits of ours. But I have to ask, what's your gut feeling? Will we have a midweek event?

Oh Val_ you're making me want to watch X factor uk again. I used to get sooo sucked into that show but I haven't really gotten into it the last two seasons. I think I'll give it a try again.

And I also thought we might have a PFW event since the banners are everywhere. I'm also hoping for a regular "grind" midweek event again. I like the show your style but I think I would be fine having one once a month or every two months as they are quite stressful with having to check in every 4 hours and such.

Well, come close because I want to whisper this. The GluBird of Happiness just landed on my window sill trilling a lovely tune. And the Glubird said big things are coming before the end of the year. Some things we've been asking for, and some things Glu KNOWS we'll love. They're working hard to bring some big, new updates for the rest of the year.

Seems they love our suggestions (not all of course) and comb through the Suggestion thread and other discussion threada lot more than you or I might imagine. So, let's dream big. If they like our ideas, they use them. (Nod to Nai for the current state of the How We Style events. Oh, I'm sorry I mean the Show Your Style midweek events.

)

What were some of our biggest wants?
I know the closet organization is a real biggie. Especially because we can see the things we have versus everything available in KKG.

Then we asked for more customization in Facial options. Omg, we asked to walk the babies. My head is just exploding with all the great things Santa Glu COULD be bringing us before year's end. Let's talk about this while we wait for the midweek shoe to drop or stay on. lol. Hmmmm, somethings we asked for. Somethings they KNOW we'll love. Ok, Caffeine break. this is too much info for one sleepyhead to process.

Bring in the Brain trust. We have things to imagine.

Oh, that's such great news Koko!
The first thing that popped into my head when you said big things we've been asking for is closet organization! That is definitely a big thing and one that has been requested so much. I'm really excited!
As for other things, hmm maybe something to do with the babies?
And maybe something completely new we can't even think of? Those are always my favorite gifts! I love getting what I asked for for Christmas, but I love it even more when I get a surprise and it's something I didn't even know I wanted but end up loving.

Hi all! I'm new to the forum, but I've been playing almost a year now. Personally I'd love the ability to be able to 'friend zone' the NPCs that only ask for your number and don't give the option of adding as a professional contact. I'm starting to max out the bars for most of the available professional relationships.

Complete disclosure: I'm watching because of Nicole, lol. She is so beautiful, I just can't not watch. Although I have enjoyed X Factor US in the past (Britney!!), I like the performances and some of the people are crazy talented. Plus I find it way more interesting than The Voice (I tried but I can't stand Christina Aguilera these days, and I got bored).

I'm not super impressed right now though, as Sharon Osbourne seems to have picked a few losing acts (A rapping middle aged woman called Honey G?!! Who is aspiring to be Jay-Z!!! WTH) over more deserving people with talent. So I'm not liking her, or the white haired guy... I think he's a bit lame. Can't even remember his name or who he is exactly.
I have pretty strong feelings about this haha

Yeah Show Your Style is stressful

that's why some of the suggestions mentioned having other ways to win points other than just waiting for votes. We'll see... I just hope I won't need to spend any K-stars

I'm really trying to save them for a VIP weekend

That's how I feel. and when I heard that Something they KNOW we'll love, sounds just like that. A Big Fat Fantastic Surprise.

But you know what this feels like? It feels like the first fall/winter season here. We had Kimmie's Birthday blast, and then Gift Boxes started. We'd never had anything like it, but all of a sudden, every day we got to pick a present from a Gift Box Palette. That was big, then there was a star sale? From Halloween to New Years there were all these themed events and parties, and new clothes, and so much more. And you know what. This fall air feels kind of familiar. I think we're going to have a great Fall and Winter.

Imagine. Things we haven't even imagined yet. I'm feeling faint...or else I need a cigarette. This game is so involving.

Oh wow Koko, this is huge!!! I'm just falling in love with this game all over again! I'm just really hoping that Glu puts more thought and effort into the holidays. Especially Halloween, last year the decorations came 1 day before Halloween and there was no pre-Halloween fun in the game at all. So that is my wish. Oh that and new holiday backgrounds!

My favorite event is the Black Friday Shopping event. Ok, so it's not an Even Event. It's that wonderful time of year, when the last bit of turkey is cut and wrapped up for left overs, and boom. Black Friday. Where you get twice the bang for your buck. I don't remember the first year if they had a simultaneous sale on stars, but they did last year.

And at 6 or 7 a.m.that monday, Vats asked for one of my androids for their pixels in marriage. (not game marriage...that's bort for him and my other android for me) but forum Marriage. So...the sale was still going on, Kat grabbed the dress and the veil, put Z in a pretty gown for maid of honor (the long slinky red number, with flowers in her hair) and off they went to rome to be Married. We took pictures with all our friends. Then Boom. 9 a.m. came and the BlackFriday Sale closed 13 hours early, along with the sale for stars. It was a Glu Ooopsie, that hasn't happened again since. Phew.

Then while we're still floating over the Sales, the rest of the season becomes a great big happy blur, that culminates in NY Eve. I just feel like it's going to be that kind of Season again.

Hey, it's almost noon. What's the consenses? We don't start a chant if we don't know there is anything to chant for.

What do we do? Midweek? No Midweek? Midweek? No midweek? Anyone see a file load? My spidey sense is all excited about the upsoming season of the Game. I get no read about a midweek or not. You know, they're possibly so busy filling our updates with good stuff, maybe the team needs a midweek off.

If that's the case, then they deserve it and I'll move on. But if there IS a midweek.....so who's going to be up at 5 a.m. tomorrow morning just in case?

Yeah, Nicole has been on the show before, back when I used to watch and I really loved her on it. I only knew her from PCD before but she comes across so nice and genuine on the show, I'm glad she's back.
Haha you mean Louis Walsh, he's been on the show from the start so he is kind of a staple. He is a bit weird but then again it feels really weird if he's not there.
And I like usually quite like Sharon Osbourne, they always have one really weird crazy act and that is exactly what that Hoeny Girl sounds like. There is one like that every single season. It's just so that everyone talks/writes about it and in turn people watch to see the crazy person. It's kind of annoying but that is just how these shows work. Usually they get voted off the show quite early.

And yes, I absolutely agree! I was kind of hitting a slump with the game over the summer but now I'm so hooked again! I feel like they've really worked on improving it lately and engaging with the players. I'm so excited for what is to come!

My wish for the game is to have a page where we can record stuff like when the next time to tap guests on a gig is going to occur. I always have to refer to my notebook for stuff like that, esp. when I have 2 or 3 gigs going at once.

The good news is that the price of the required item for women is lower this week and it's easy to match distressed jeans with a cute top. I like the plaid top for guys too, but I want to hear what YOU think!

I will definitely be up at 5am tomorrow, that's when my Pekingese decides it is time to go lol. But it really helps me on event days! I love fall, winter and the holidays on this game. Every year there are great surprises and beautiful clothes. And I agree with those who have already said this - the game is just getting better and better recently. Even if the changes aren't always well executed or received, I love seeing that the developers are trying. It's obvious to me that they do pay attention to our praise, complaints, and suggestions. I am feeling many Glu warm fuzzies today!

UPDATE: while typing the message above, Kalinda posted the midweek spoiler! I love it! I actually own the style item this time. Yay! It will be fun to see what everyone does with the jeans.

Which pair of jeans is this? There are two that look similar. There is one for 30 stars at the top of the wardrobe and there is one for 40 stars further down. I'm thinking it's the first pair? The second looks to be more distressed at top. I just don't want to buy the wrong one.

thank you so much. Gee, now I feel bad we didn't do the chant. I love that the jeans can be paired with so many different things. And...did Glu read my mind? after the navy satinesque shorts, I've been thinking I could use a skirt or shorts just a smudge longer. Just today I put on something and said that.

Love be the guys prizes too, and let's not forget those first two glorious boxes of almost anything!

Ok guys I have a dilemma. I'm not sure what outfit to go with for the SYS event. The first one doesn't seem like rip jeans go with it, but you can't really see that they are ripped of she doesn't move. The second outfit is a bit more biker chick and seems better. I don't know. Which one do you guys like or should I use both and rotate them?
