i have an android and my friend has an iPhone. We're friends on Facebook but we can't see each other on the game? Is it because we have different devices?

Yes, you both have to be on the same platform to see each other's doll.

You don't have to have the same device, but it must be the same platform. My Android tablets can play with Android phones, but they can't play with any Apple products.
