I really like to play the storylines, but this is just one more feature of the game and with this new behavior of paying to get the best outcome just pushes me away and reduces my interest.

There are plenty of useless features in this game already, are you trying that the storylines to make to that list as well? I know lots of players that aren't fans of working on the storylines, keep asking bribes to people and I'm sure that you'll reach your new smart goal!
It's inadmissible how the prices are increasing and increasing each update, but the quality of the work isn't keeping up with the prices.
If you want to charge 200k on a new house, make it better than the ones we already have that not just offers a new beautiful landscape. Make it hold more than 7 guests to parties and more than 4 guests to reality shows.
If you want to offer recycled items from other games and charge increasing prices at every new round tricking our odds, at least fill up ALL those boxes with ITEMS, it's enough the bitter taste we have to sip weekly of kash and energy with GB.
If you want to sell your VIP subscription, how about to give the players the tiles they win daily at the white boxes and just make the prizes being unlock when they subscribe the system...

Yeah, I get that Glu is a business and you gotta monetise etc but I have to say this is getting ridiculous. Paying k stars for some kid we've never seen before to take us to prom, and then giving us the quest "humdrum homecoming" if we don't? That's actually offensive.
Ugh, I’m getting so upset reading everyone’s comments. I didn’t know the homecoming one would cost K stars too ? I haven’t started that one and now I don’t think I will.
My thoughts are this:
— Storylines are the one way players have to EARN in the game. We spend on clothes, we spend on houses, we spend on cars and pets and furniture for those houses, we spend on our babies and we spend on our husbands. But storylines are the part of the game that we are supposed to be saving more than we spend. That’s the whole entire point of them. So to have us have to spend just to progress in our storylines without being called failures is just ??? It doesn’t make sense and it makes me just want to ignore those storylines in favor of catching up on other, less money-hungry ones. — At first glance, releasing these expensive storylines during a VIP weekend seems like a good idea. On paper, you would think the players would spend K stars on the storylines and then be happy because that goes toward their VIP points, but that’s not what really happens at all. You can’t release new clothes, new kollections, new houses and pets all at the same time and expect that players are going to spend their stars on pointless storylines. As soon as we see it’s VIP weekend, we go buy the things we’ve been wanting to buy, and use up all our stars. So now I’m being punished, because I used my stars to buy the new things Glu wants me to buy, and didn’t have stars left over because no one warned us that storylines would take like 50 K stars to finish. —I agree with @Vats, the system is becoming way too unbalanced. The prices of houses go up every update, so that the player basically HAS to use stars instead of kash, but it’s not like we get extra benefits from being more expensive. We still can’t shoot reality shows there. We still get the same number of party guests. So what’s the benefit? The prices of pets go up, but they don’t release more energy. The prices of businesses go up, but we still make a measly 3 or so K stars a week, (sometimes less). Do you know what we can buy with 3 K stars in the game? Absolutely nothing. At all.
Clearly, some things need to be tinkered with here. A game shouldn’t cater to the cheaters, but so far, they seem to be the only ones able to enjoy everything the game has to offer.
My suggestions are this: —Knock it off with the money hungry storylines. It’s enough to take all our energy. I would agree to pay kash once in a while, as I can easily earn that back, but K stars are getting harder and harder to get these days and absolutely no one thinks spending them on storylines is worth it. — Businesses either need to start paying out more than we are getting, or they need to be cheaper in the long run. I’ve been playing this game for months and I don’t think I’ve made back any of the K stars I invested in my businesses yet. It’s not really an investment if you do nothing but lose money.
Long story short, I’m refusing to spend money on storylines. If Ray or Maria or Simon call me a failure, so be it, I have more than enough fans already. I don’t care about some kid and his homecoming, that’s his problem, not mine. I’m not paying for him, and if his homecoming sucks, oh well, maybe he should’ve asked a girl at his school like a normal person ??♀️ And as for the Willow billboard, that is easily solved. Yes, thank you everyone! I've been seeing this trend just sky rocket lately. The only people who get to enjoy the updates are the people who spend 0 money on this game. You are literally catering only to the ones stealing from you and making your paying customers feel undervalued and alienated. I decided I'm not spending a cent anymore. There's no point, I'll just do the earnables and that's it. I am tired of being taken advantage of. And the adds are just inexcusable. I have spent so much money I already greatly surpassed all the rewards for VIP points or whatever they were called.
Kim's birthday event was an absolute let down. A 6 hours gig that rewarded 0 bonus points and 10kstars. Are you kidding me? Anything, even a measly pair of earrings would have been much better. Anyway, that's my last 2 cents on it, I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle. Gonna go grind my stars from this VIP and hopefully just get a couple of items from kollections (which, btw, absolutely rigged. I agree this game is fit for hackers as it seems like they're the only ones enjoying the game, whilst those who actually splurge on kstars with their hard earned money are getting the short end of the stick, @Vats is right GLU's full of idiots they're sucking the fun out of this game with each update and I'm even more over it now that we are frozen again,HA!
Videos to earn stars are not working again. Same problem we had a while back, when you click GET FREE STARS and VIDEO OFFER absolutely nothing happens. OTHER OFFERS works fine.
I think its just instinct for people who may not know dog breeds very well to automatically assume its a shih tzu, where I live every fluffy smaller sized dog is automatically assumed to be either a shih tzu/(toy)poodle or a mix of both.
However @HollySisk are spritz and Samoyed the same breed of dog? Because Samoyed originally came to mind when I saw these puppies and they look awfully similar ☺

I agree that people jump to the conclusion that small fluffy dogs are shih tzus. I play another game and there’s is a Small all white dog with Hair to the floor and is CLEARLY a Maltese but the developers said it is a Shih Tzu. Drives me NUTS! Lol. Whenever I chat with other players I refer to it as “Not a Shih Tzu.”

Lol @HollySisk I honestly try to just laugh when people assign the incorrect breed to really any animal. And as much as people say they "all look the same" noses, tails, coat all help differentiate different breeds from one another. If you spend enough time around them you definitely notice .... But you'd think they'd at least do research before attempting to illustrate an animal in a game .
Also I've never heard of spitzes before, aren't a lot of "special/unusual" breeds here as I live in a little island in the tropics, and dogs would have to be brought in. I've volunteered at a Animal shelter and never came across Any. Definitely gorgeous animals though. Thanks for the little lesson☺

i thought paying kstars was only limited to the perfume storyline because that's how it's been every time they put a new feature. i haven't touched my quests since september but after reading all of the comments here holy sh*t lmao.
it's already enough that you require us to pay for the stories feature (which i am still not touching after requiring me to pay 25kstars per chapter), don't remove vip tiles for players who aren't vip, and not updating the achievements despite a lot of us having them maxed out. as it is, i'm refusing to pay for any storylines. how about instead of adding yet another location that won't get touched ever again you give us storylines in places like the restaurant, or the hair salon, or opening the Grand Sultan Hotel which has been locked for 3 years now.
this is the kind of behavior that made me stop playing kendall & kylie before getting truly invested in it, because this game was actually enjoyable to play, but now it's questionable. i only earn 5 kstars per day, and the perfume storyline alone requires me to pay 35kstars, which is a week's worth of kstars. i've only bought kstars twice and it was only to remove the ads, but apparently that could also be an issue.

I didn't know we have more storylines that are going to ask us to spend K-stars for the best outcome, I thought the perfume bottle one was going to be the only one because it was a new feature and, at the end, you get the perfume bottle which is very nice to have. I'm thinking about doing this one for sure! But... paying for the other ones? Hmm, I don't think so. Even if it's just for 2/5/10 K-stars, that's so much for someone who spends their real money in the game/spends a lot of time working to get those K-stars back. I've been reading all of these comments about the hackers being the only ones who are enjoying the game and, even though I personally don't pay attention to that, it's the truth.
I'm so happy to be back playing because to be honest the game is something I really enjoy doing and I like treating myself by spending a bit here and there on the game, but I hope it could be easier for us to actually get things we're paying for, as the many examples everyone listed before me.
I'm just going to add my 2 cents here. I have been reading everyone's comments and I 100% agree this is getting absolutely ridiculous with quests requiring k-stars for the better outcome. I find this to be very appalling as a paying costumer who has been playing this game since very beginning I am very disappointed with how things are going. Yes, getting new outfits and features are nice and all and I understand that Glu needs to make money but this not the right way to do so. You give us businesses to earn k-stars and kash that what only give 2-3 k-stars a week? Besides the fashion house that gives you 7 k-stars if you can afford to furnish all of it. And not to mention 2-3 k-stars a week does very little for those of us who cannot afford to spend money every week. Since the last update with this "weekend storyline" it's either you don't do the k-star option and don't get a better outcome or you do it and bonus points and etc? Seriously, Glu? Houses don’t make sense to buy with kash anymore (the kash to K star ratio doesn’t make any sense. A 200k kash house will cost 60k stars, a 150k house will cost 80 K stars? Where’s the mathematical logic here?) so in the long run, buying houses with k stars makes more sense. Storylines don’t ask me for kash anymore, it’s all K stars. All the good designer clothes are K stars.
What do I even need Kash for anymore? With how much the game has been demanding K stars, I can’t remember the last time I felt like I needed to work for kash.

It doesn't even make sense that we still earn cash for gigs and achievements. Cash is no longer a viable currency since EVERYTHING in the game requires k-stars. Gigs, clothes, kollections, boxes, anything.
I feel like we all could care less about earning cash but still crave k-stars because you apparently need them for everything.
For the update, could we just have the usual storylines? I'm out of the regular storylines so updates and weekends are the only times I get any. Now I don't even want to do them, even if it's boring without them.

Just have a nice cool drink and relax. You're done with this Kollection. It hit me last time, I came in and ranted. I think you'll find it in the vent thread. Then I realuzed, I won all the clothes. The App Store was saying my game updated then I looked at the app and it said version 7.5.0 still *eye roll* had to give the App Store a minute to sort itself out. Installed the update and everything is working now it seems. False alarm. YAY! Thank you Glu!!!
