I'm a new player and i don't understand what SMC and SYS means:( please help

Hi SYS is Show Your Style. The game tells us to buy a specific piece of clothing or accessory (or you might already have it) and then you put together a look using the item. The game then shows you two dolls each with the item, and you choose which you like. While you're voting, others are voting for your doll or it's rival for that vote. At the end of 4 hours, you get the results. If you win, you get 20 points. if you lose you get 10 points. then you enter again with the same or a new look, and the next round runs for 4 hours.
When you enter a look, you get 5points. Those are the basics to the SYS. and the Shop My Closet SMC has already been explained.
But....there is no connection between the Shop My Closet - a sale of a specific outfit , and Show Your Style - an event where your look goes up against others, using a specific item.
