I just got the earnable outfit. It's cute, but I think I'm always gonna have to style it with some purse or something, because the bottom part look a bit boxy and too wide? Idk, it just looks better when it's covered lol

I am really interested to see who I am getting paired with... 🤔 I have had a horrible luck during this event. I am inspired by your looks, but for some reason they flopp for me. And whatever I do- flop... I don’t mean to sound braggy, but when I go to vote I barely see good submissions. So either I am getting paired with amazing dolls like Linda, Rikk and Katie or people are crazy 😂🤷🏻♀️

Thanks for your supportive responses, guys. I wanted to try this to acknowledge anyone else who feels they have to change their skin color or features to achieve more in the game. Narrow perceptions of beauty and racism are a pervasive problem across the world. I really liked the suggestion by @EllaCharlotte that the game should include more clothing, characters, and locations that represent different cultural perspectives.
I remember the discussion that @Rikk is referring to in a previous SYS thread and it really stuck in my mind. Like others have said, it makes me really sad to see that there does appear to be a disadvantage of having a darker skin colour amongst voters, but I would hope that if highlighting this makes just one person stop and consider how they vote then it has made a very small positive difference.
That conversation stuck in my mind too! Particularly the responses to it. I think it’s always good to talk about it!
@Rikk thank you for confirming what many of us were already guessing. IRL I’m biracial with colored hair but for SYS I make sure to be a white, blue eyed blonde (sometimes brunette) 🤷🏻♀️

Well, I’m totally confused because my looks started off strong, but yesterday I only scored in the 30s. So today I decided to reuse two of my looks that had scored well, but this time they only got scores in the 30s too.
Thursdays, fridays, and today. I was getting all 49-52s on every single one of my looks consistently this event and now I’m lucky to get 42. I’m so frustrated. I try to never repeat outfits during any SYS, but honestly I might try it because I’m annoyed and I’ve been in first the whole event but with my low scores and a girl buying 2 or 3 tickets, she’s currently ahead by 3 points.... 3 points. I’m sure if I passed her she’d just buy a couple more tho anyway.
Anywho, at least I still got this romper!! I love it. Here’s my doll with @VampireBarbie looking extra matchy (ignoring the fact that she has big beautiful Ari hair and mine gives off wet mop vibez, of course)

I'm sorry but can we please stop discussing about racism and colorism of this sys event voting system? I came here to share and post about my doll's fashion, not to read about how prejudice the voters are truly are. I honestly thought that this issue wasn't gonna be brought up again. As a WOC and being a black woman irl, I've seen enough of that in the society's real world. And its also very heartfelt to me. It's more than a rather touchy-feely sensitive topic that I just can't seem to make any changes from that. And yes I do agree to an extent that certain makeup looks doesn't look good on dark-skinned dolls and glu tends to cater to caucasian dolls. Glu is honestly the worst "makeup" artist and cant do good job on dark-skinned dolls. I feel like the makeup choices on this game is very "limited" on my doll too. It's kinda like I gotta know what colors of eyeshadows and lipsticks looks good on my doll because clearly glu dont know lol. Glu, if yall did my makeup irl I dont think that I would like it so I would end up firing yall as my makeup artist lol. And I'm gonna say it again that I strongly stand against my ground that I'm not gonna change my doll's skin color to please these voters on my game. Uh just to "cheat" as a white doll and to score "higher"? I dont think so. It won't be happening anytime soon.

Hey everyone. I really need some help making a decision. There’s a girl who bought tickets in my group. By my calculations she bought 6. But she’s been using plain looks and I’ve been able to close the gap. Right now she is 150 votes ahead of me, so I’m thinking if I buy 6 tickets and use 3 the hair is mine.
Is it worth it though?! I need some feedback or encouragement on whether to chase this. I’ve never came in second on a SYS and I like that hair...
