Hey Monica! That's totally cool if you don't want the lei, but I've been living for it -- especially knowing that we'd eventually get a summer SYS. My husband and I honeymooned on the island of Kauai, and we were both gifted beautiful leis by a family we met on the north shore. It was really special to us, and this pixelated lei reminds me of that too. I also subscribe to the gold VIP program, so yeah, $50 a month and I feel entitled to have a say about my tiles.Ā

Personally, I like the new dye feature as it allows us to make matching clothes, at least gives us the option of changing up popular clothing like gowns in SYS events so everybody doesn't look like they are wearing the exact same thing even if they actually are and it gives us reason to go back through older probably forgotten items to see if we could make use for them again in a new colour. Its not without flaws obviously, but its a good addition IMO.
As for the whole disagree discussion. I'm new to posting on this forum and I had no clue that some people saw being disagreed with as an issue/insult. I've clicked disagree on a few posts that I strongly disagreed with. It wasnt out of disrespect or anything though. I just see the whole agree/disagree buttons as a way of easily showing what opinions/suggestions are popular/unpopular for glu to get a good sense of what the majority of people think. Tbh, that makes much more sense to me than say 30 people arguing in 30 seperate posts about whether they agree or disagree, especially if its all already been said before. That just seems like a waste of time having to read through them all over simply looking at some buttons. I mean does anybody get offended by the number of agrees/likes/lols? No, because they are positive. But because someone simply disagrees instead, its offensive and shouldnt be necessary. Come on now. If you get offended by someone clicking a button on your post, whether good or bad, I question if the internet is the best place for you.
So, although its clearly not going to make me popular, I will continue to use the buttons to agree AND disagree if I want to. It will not be to offend or disrespect any other persons opinion, but just to show that not everybody agrees. If anybody has a problem with that then I'm sorry but I'm just sticking to what I believe. I'm sure I'll get at least a few disagrees on this comment but I really dont care lol.

It's not that they're offensive so much, it's that after they became anonymous, the increase in them became rampant and often times, random. Like getting a disagree on expressing excitement at the possibility of a new location/locale, for example. I saw someone disagreeing on someone's excitement about a new outfit too, which just seemed SUPER random. Before they were anonymous, I never read anyone commenting about them. The disagrees were owned, and that was that. When they're anonymous, it brings up the possibility of someone making extra accounts to troll, take out frustration on members they don't care for (which sounds silly but it happens), etc.Ā
To all the dolls making legitimate disagree selections, the issue is not with you. To the system itself, yes, there is room for improvement.Ā
I'm pretty sure the disagree thing is actually done by the hosting site. I think they might be taking a cue from the way Instagram is not showing total numbers/specific names.
I agree that it's fine to use any of the buttons that are available to you here, but ultimately we would love to see actual posts / constructive feedback, which are much more informative and helpful to everyone. With just a "agree" or "disagree" it's very easy to misinterpret things (then again, welcome to the Internet....). At the end of the day, this is a community for users to come and share their feelings about a game; let's not try to get caught up about a button on a webpage!
