Can I play my game on two devices?

Hello 👋
I am thinking about purchasing an iPad soon, and I would love to be able to play my game on that as well as my phone. I’d like to just keep the one game instead of having two, and I was hoping I would be able to play it on both devices.
I currently play my game on the iPhone X, so the platform will be the same.
Will I be able to switch back and forth with devices? I’ll probably play on my iPad at home but then on my phone when out and about if it’s possible.
I appreciate the input if anyone can help/answer!

@VampireBarbie I have my game on both my ipad and iphone. I dont get the multiple device message unless both gAmes are open at the same time. So just dont open them on the same time then you should be fine.

To be honest, you can lose data that way. Its not recommended. But that doesn't mean some players aren't doing it. Your game, your choice.
