Pet Button

When I first started the game, I had the pet button,  but after playing for a while there is no longer a pet button in the wardrobe for me.  Has that happened to anyone else? I can walk my pets and take them outside, but there is no glowing after 4 hours and no paws.  Even after Maria talked to me, no pet button available. I am updated to the latest game version. Perhaps this will be fixed in the next update?
