I usually lurk (and only contribute to complain about $pendSetters), but I have to agree with the others. I spend an embarrassing, shameful amount of money on this game. I am a Gold VIP, buy the FG, chase weekend gift boxes - and yes, I've purchased SYS tickets.
I usually put off opening my free GB until Saturday morning, so I like to spend Fridays looking at other player's palettes. Seeing the lack of actual weekend items in palette after palette is so bizarrely shortsighted that I'm trying to wrap my head around the decision making process that led to reducing the availability of GB items. Put another way: even if I liked the items (I don't), why on Earth would I even try to chase an item when I know I'll never get it? In future weekend events, why would anyone chase, ever? I know I certainly won't.
To be clear, I don't mind spending money if it helps keep the game alive. I don't mind spending money to get the things I want. I *do* mind feeling like I'm flushing money down the toilet while Glu continually readjusts the odds to make it harder to get GB items. And I'm not even going to get into the obscene spending arms race that TrendSetters is. $pendSetters, weekend GB palettes and a whole host of other, recent, questionable decisions are seriously making me reevaluate whether I can continue putting any money into this game. And, in good conscience, I don't think I can.
More broadly speaking - and I can't believe this even needs to be said - but the key to good relationships is communication. To be more specific, people need to feel heard. And when they don't feel heard, they get resentful. Glu, your customers on this forum - your paying customers - are speaking, and they do not feel heard.
I love the GB dress so I decided to chase it but surprise surprise, it wasn’t even in my first palette with the free box 🙄 I also got the choker which is nice but I’m kinda irked that I was opening boxes to get an item that I didn’t even have a chance to get because it wasn’t in the palette.
I had three GB items in my palette however that is less than normal. I am one of the lucky few that gets 4 probably 95% of the time. I do think its outrageous that anyone only sees 2 GB items in their palette. Just one more example of Glu’s complete lack of regard for their customers.
So clearly the odds have been changed in GBs for the worse. I got 3 items. The amount of people with 2 items is unconscionable. Thank God I wasnt chasing the krap items this week or you'd really be hearing a boatload of words your mother never taught you right now.
Idk about Canada, but the US has actual rules on conning people with online gambling. Luring people in with the fact we usually have 4 items (therefore adding a base of confidence), only to change it to 2 being the most prevalent occurence, is basically a confidence scam. I mean, I know I mentioned how my attorney general likes to shut down rackets like this when kollections were clearly rigged, and that's when those odds changed and you bothered to add the little "?" button that notes the odds.
But y'all? I can still call her office. She doesn't seem to sleep. She's currently got her foot up Trump's tookus in a dozen different ways. Do you want a bulldog on your case? Fix this and I suggest compensation too.

I said last week I felt like a rock star with these boots and the microphone and music notes totally complete the look!!! I hope so bad we have a Halloween SYS, I would totally use this look.

I mean, this week-end I got 3 items in my palette. It was a good surprise (even if I didn’t picked anything good, lol). WHY ? Why is that a surprise to have more than 2 items in a palette? It shouldn’t be. It should be NORMAL to have 4 items. I don’t even have a chihuahua gif/picture to explain how I feel 😂 this is bad. End it. Please.
I went back through my posts and realised that I normally have all four event items in my palette. This week I had three. Just for proof, here’s 3 of the event boxes from last month, I didn’t screenshot the most recent VIP event so I can’t say for certain how many items were in it. As you can see, all four items are in the palette. These are my free GB picks as I don’t buy extra boxes, unless I get 40 stars in my freebie then sometimes I’ll buy another as it’s kinda like another freebie.

Rare palette luck this weekend, I can’t remember the last time I had a 4 item free box. Ofc I didn’t get any items 😒. Dye’s fine tho cuz I need more, but it don’t beat new items! It’s been at least a month and a half since my last free item. The only reason I got anything from last week’s gb was cuz I paid for it!
I’m not usually that vocal about stuff like this, but I definitely agree that we should all be getting a 4 palette in our free boxes—so at least we have a fair shot at any of the gb items. It’s no fun getting nothing week after week, especially for players who don’t have the stars to chase what they want. Keep the daily items in the daily gb please! It’s called DAILY for a reason. I expect a break from those things in weekend event boxes cuz they aren’t the same box. Is a weekend box white with yellow ribbon? Heck NO!!!
