Number of Gold stars on purchasing clothes?

I bought a skirt for 12000 cash but I only got 2 gold stars in return, is this a glitch? 
Is there a way to know which category of items (furniture, dresses, accessories etc) give the best ratio of gold stars to cash?
i feel like I’m wasting my money

    It’s not a glitch. For some reason, glu doesn’t reward you with more gold stars/hearts the more money you spend. It’s really disappointing. And there’s really no way to know what item will give you the most. ☹️ However, the items that come in multiple colors seem to give you more stars/hearts.

    Things bought for stars pay more rewards than items bought with cash.  stars are more valuable, so things purchased with stars award more benefit than cash purchases.  
    If you are having trouble DO NOT UNINSTALL THE GAME!
