Missed the earnable dress by 2 points but Iโm not salty like I usually am when that happens because IMO the earnable dress is the poorest quality item I have seen on the game in the last 2 years. I got the lowest score I have ever had on look 3. At first that score made me not want to continue but I kept on and ended up having fun ย
I had two ticket buyers in my group but I managed to pass them and I won by two points, no Simon tickets used!! First time I've ever overtaken TBs so that's exciting and I got one diamond in the last few minutes of voting as well :]. Ugh, the transition to EST from Europe has cost me the past few top 5 spots in SYS. I'm not used to SYS ending so early lol. I remembered today like 5 minutes before the event ended and submitted my last ticket with about a minute to spare and placed 4th, phew lol. The crown is beautiful, didn't have a chance for the dress, was behind 3 TBs.
Came in third!! Not bad tbh, I had a TB in my TS group but that's okay, the mermaid dress is gorgeous, obviously everyone wanted it. Love the head piece, can't wait to wear it in Halloween! Two TB appeared last minute and stole the first place๐ I had some extra tickets but honestly, I didnโt like the TS dress that much to fight for it. I donโt think itโs wearable. I liked the earnable dress more.ย
I figured out why I donโt enjoy sys events anymore - you just canโt really be creative ๐ ticket buyers make it so hard to get in the top 5, sometimes even top 10 let alone ever win without spending so much real money so you end up just using the same looks over and over to get consistent votes and itโs so formulaic and boring now. I love the forum and everyoneโs dolls look amazing but we all end up in the same few dresses, same few hair styles etc because we know they work so thereโs never any room to be creative or have fun with the themes in case a look doesnโt score well. ย It just makes it not fun ? I have been playing years and have loads of stuff in my kloset Iโd love to try but I end up just using the same handful of newer dresses for every theme pretty much just to get enough points to stay in the top 5ย
Iโm so frustrated because I was 1st the whole sys ๐คฆโโ๏ธ and of course some newbie player last minute decided to submit a load of tickets. She was 4th with me being over 200 points ahead of her and all of a sudden sheโs was then over a 100 points over me lol I would of had to submit either 2 or 3 extra tickets if I wanted to get 1st place and beat her. But I knew as sheโd already bought loads of tickets she would just submit more so I just gave up sadly. I was 2nd by 17 points, I'd easily beย 1st if I didn't lose that ticket, so I was going to buy a 12 pack to make up for the lost ticket and fight for 1st.ย
But then I thought about how greedy Glu is. How they seem to hate their customers & cant do basic little things like letting 3 tickets stack, giving everyone the Star-whatever kollection, updating TB boxes, keeping dye in the TB SYS boxes, & so on. Howย because this SYS was filled with a ridiculous amount of people flaunting the TS prizes, that the dress is going to be a hated TS prize for a very long time, as I'm sure it's left a bitter taste in many customers mouths.ย
So I didn't buy any tickets! That other doll can enjoy the dress, they also saved money by not using tickets to fight for 1st, & I'm enjoying the extra cash in my bank. It feels great to not contribute to a company that hates its players.

Came 3rd this week, I was hesitating whether to use or not use my free Simonโs ticket to get #1, but didnโt end up doing it. Even though the dress was beautiful, I think I can live without it, especially since the doll I was rooting for the whole time ended up being 1st, so I didnโt want to take that deserved 1st place from her
Earnables: I like the necklace, not too fan of the dress but I must admit that itโs nicely detailed! TS: the hair piece is really nice and will be useful for that kind of SYS. It shouldnโt be a TS prize though.
How do you dolls deal with post-SYS exhaustion? Iโm hooked on this forum, especially now before the update, but as soon as I open the game, I just want to close it till next weekends maybe ๐ฅด๐ต
I'm noticing a LOT of non-ticket buyers being in first/second place for most of the weekend and then last minute a TB comes in and takes first place.. Really frustrating! I was first all weekend, and then someone who wasn't even in the top 10 came in in the last four hours and submitted a BUNCH of tickets to take 1st spot. Wish there was a time limit on buying in the last couple hours but know that goes directly against Glu's earning plan..ย
So this is how my TS ended up. Most of my looks were the mermaid dress dyed every colour so not gonna bore you all with those. Itโs just a bit frustrating that I scored reasonable well, I mean although not a really high average it was approx 45 per look, and still couldnโt get a top 5. I knew from day 1 that 1st was not happening as 1st and 2nd made it clear from the start they were going big. I know I wouldnโt have used the crown often but knowing Iโve won in the past with fewer points is disheartening. Anyway, congrats to everyone who won a prize!
