I personally think all dolls, male and female, should get the free gifts no matter what they are. They are free gifts. If the male dolls don't want the free gifts (books, drinks, hair accessories, whatever) then they can ignore them.
My fiance plays this game and would love free handhelds! Not only the ones that are aggressively gender neutral - cough cough books- but also ones that might be considered "feminine".

I’m a little bit late to this thread but I just have to say how excited I am for this SYS.
The fact that Glu actually listened to all the complaints we’ve been having lately and are giving us on-theme earnables, a cute gift AND making the TS outfit a top 5 price makes me so happy!
