Why isn’t the app working on my iPad?

Every time I try to open the game on my new iPad, I get this screen. I can hear the app’s music, but nothing happens past this screen. Has anyone else has this problem? How do I fix it? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, with no success.
