Yes and I’ve had hair colors I won or paid for disappear as well as items that were gifted to me from the early days.
Honestly with this new tie system, it's not the last straw for me, but if I see a ton of ties in the next SYS we have, I'm just going to stop doing the SYS events... I was just saying literally a few days ago how although there have been a few minor changes, I'm still interested in playing the game. However, with this new tie system, I realized that since the ranked SYS started, I've been playing less and less. I used to play religiously, ranking 1st or 2nd without having to buy tickets. Now I'm buying tickets just for a slim chance at items I like when I'm in Gold or sometimes even Silver 3 because there are so many players buying SO many tickets. The last time I was in Gold (the TB SYS before the butterfly wings, A TB SYS...), 1-3 had over 1500 points.. Say each of these people scored a 60 on each look they did, it means that they still used 10+ extra tickets.
Edit: One of my friends was in Gold during the SYS with the butterfly wings and she spent $18 on tickets only to place 7th. She couldn't even get the wings. The people who ranked above her had thousands of points more than she did. I can only assume those people spent $30+ for tickets to use on one SYS. Like this, free players don't ever have a chance...
I'm in my early 20s and the money I have spent on this game was earned by me so I didn't mind it too much, but as I watched the number of tickets submitted by others skyrocket and now with this tie system, I'm inclined to spend much less. In a message exchange Kalinda and I had, she said that she can see that I've spent a lot on the game, which I can't deny is true, but my spending habits on this game is becoming a bell curve and I'm on the fall.
I'll continue to play the weekend professional, party, dating, etc. events, but even weekday TB professional events are not as fun anymore. In the span of 2-3 months, we've been introduced to so many updates that we don't even want or like. There hasn't even been an actual survey asking players their opinion of changes or anything like an actual suggestion box. There are suggestion threads, but there's like a 0.01% of Glu even taking suggestions, but the suggestions are usually for clothing items....
Glu. Even if all you care about is the money, trying to force players to spend more in the short-term will only affect you in the long term. It's like you're being given the choice of $100 today or $10 a week for the next 10 years and you still choose $100 today. Who is running this company? Children?? Did no one in such a large company go to school for business? Even watch some educational videos? Use common sense? Maybe with all that money you're trying to get from players, someone can attend school for a basic foundation in business to learn how to treat customers and maintain a customer base.

My looks so far. I’m lucky to have been playing a long time, so I have a lot of dyes and a lot of dresses to use for styling two dolls. If this wasn’t such a broad theme, it would be a disaster. Imagine trying to come up with 28 unique looks (including handhelds and jewellery) for a theme like 80s disco or ski holiday or the leather/lace theme we had recently!
It has been fun (time consuming, but fun) styling a pair of dolls, but I wouldn’t want to do this more than once a month at most. Maybe just make it a special event with a broad theme a couple of times a year?

i’ve honestly enjoyed styling two dolls, though it is time consuming. the way to make it better imo would be to lock clothing per doll, not for both at a time
I have a LOT of gowns and I’m lucky enough to have the disposable income that if I want to buy K stars etc I can easily so have collected a lot in the last year and I’m STILL running out of ideas and items this is really tough 😅
While I am enjoying this styling two looks per ticket, I am exhausted. It take me around 10 minutes to coordinate two complimentary looks and I can imagine if we get a weirdly specific theme like cottagecore picnic and I have only like two picnic baskets I will be struggling.
I tried but think I may just skip future duets unless there’s some super earnable for 15 hearts or less. Too time consuming and the scoring seems shady.
My next three looks! I personally like the new scoring system it’s seems easier to get the earnables so far but I really don’t like that spaces get skipped when dolls are tied

With the introduction of Show Your Style Duets, there will be more
ties that occur because your overall scores are lower with the hearts system.
Changes to ties will affect all SYS events going forward. Here’s how it works:
If you and another player in your Trendsetters group have the same
total score, then you are both eligible to collect the same prizes and change
your Style Level accordingly. For example, if you and another player are tied
for 2nd place, then both of you can collect the 2nd place prizes and move to
the higher Style Level. If you are tied at a lower rank, then both of you would
move to the lower Style Level.
If 2 players have a tied score, they’ll share a rank on the
leaderboard. The next player with a unique score will get a new rank based on
how many players are placed above them. For example, if 3 players tie for 2nd
place, then the next player with a unique score would be in 5th place
because there is the 1st place player and then 3 players in 2nd
place.
As everyone else has said this is ridiculous. I will no longer be spending money on this game solely because of this change. I hope this gets conveyed to the team.
