NYE 21 Storyline

I don’t want to be Annie Wilkes about this, but this week’s storyline doesn’t make any sense and it’s kinda driving me crazy. The whole premise seems to be that you have some kind of beef with Czarina, but where is this coming from? When I went last minute Christmas shopping with Kim in Dubai, I purchased $500 earrings and sent them as a gift for Czarina and she thanked me, but yesterday during the interview, Ray said that I didn’t get her a gift. And the only thing I could say was “No comment.” WHAT?

Well, did I get my $500/the earrings back? Am I going to? 

And then today, Maria says I have to make nice with Czarina. Umm, what happened? I matched her with Zaddy Winter and we wished each other a Merry Christmas the last time we spoke.

It’s probably not worth a ticket, but I did go to Customer Service about it, which was silly, because of course it turned into “do you have a screenshot of your purchase?” I don’t care about the money/the earrings, I want you guys to know about your sloppy storyline. 

This isn’t the first time the writers have checked out, idk, maybe they think players don’t really care/pay attention but this literally happened last week. :|

    I think it’s a part of 5 week story line, maybe Willow stole the earrings or something lol , I’m sure they will come back

    @varla_v_vulgar I was just as confused as you when this week's storyline started. I assumed it's because they needed to find a way to get Czarina to give us her top so we could complete her entire look (they've given us her hair, necklace, and pants so far). It still doesn't excuse the bad writing for the storyline though.

    I am in the same boat! I bought Czarina the earrings and she called and said thank you. Maria told me to go meet her and make nice but she doesn’t tell me where??????? I’m so confused on this

    Nwm  I don’t know what I’m talking about.i know that we’ve been getting parts of the ice Queen outfit though.

    Right, it’s 5 parts, but the events are out of order? We were good last week, now we’re not? I know she’s supposed to be an Ice Queen or whatever, but does she also have Memento disease or some other memory issue? Does my character, too? Because I don’t understand why I would buy a gift for somebody and act like I didn’t, lol

    It’s the same for me, sucks when it seems like the choices you make don’t make any difference to the storyline. Over all I feel it’s a shame you don’t have more control over what direction you want to go in, in this game.

    Dolls, don't let it get you down.  Glu is back next week, and we can try and get some answers.  But till then, roll with punches!   We are forever complaining about getting 4000$ for a prize, so getting 5 KStars back for spending 500$ doesn't seem like a bad deal.   jmo, but don't be bothered over something we can not investigate till next week. <3

    Everyone got the same storyline this week regardless of giving the gift from last weeks storyline. I was annoyed by the poor storytelling too but I’m sure it’ll wrap up in some adequate way tomorrow.

    To close the loop, support ended up giving me the $500 back. I told them I didn’t want it, I just wanted them to know the storylines contradict each other, but ah well. I did make sure to screenshot when Czarina told me “Thank you and Happy New Year” today at Brew Palms  ;)

    Now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to hit the Casino!
