Can't type '@' symbol of my email for the newsletter subscription?

Hi all, I started a new game after a few months break. When I get the pop-up for the free outfit if you sign up for the newsletter, the keypad won't recognize my '@' symbol... I've tried copy and pasting my email but it won't accept that either. So I can't properly fill out my email. Has anyone had a similar problem?
I don't want to bother support with a ticket if there's an easy fix, so thought i'd try here first. Phone is up to date and haven't had this issue otherwise.

    It sounds like you’ve tried something similar but have you googled the @ symbol and tried to copy it from there? 

    Maybe you could ask CS to do it for you?

    Hi. Glu is aware and it should be corrected in the next update.   Sorry for the inconvenience.  But someone will post the newsletter when it's released, you can read it then. 
    If you are having trouble DO NOT UNINSTALL THE GAME!
