I'm so over this SYS despite LOVING the theme—I was so excited to use my dark & magic-themed items!
I'm disappointed to read here that this pattern is established by Glu. Sure enough, I did well the last few SYSs. Now, my average score is 32, which means I won't make it to the silver boxes.
I'm in 14th place in my TS group (silver II). Most of the people above me aren't even entering on-theme looks. They're also entering looks with very basic pieces... yet are somehow scoring 45+ on each look. I truly don't think they're all real players.
I'm regretting coming back to the game. At least my money is safe—it obviously isn't worth buying items to do well in SYS if the game is rigged 🥲
My girlfriend told me one of my looks reminded her of a magic: the gathering character named lolth (tw for spiders if you look her up!), so I did a look inspired by the character! definitely a tad less horror and more glam than the card, but me and my gf both thought she turned out cute ^-^

The looks are always terrible and expensive and the tasks last most of the week. Because of this task I do not get Simons call for a 6 hour K star gig. Is there any way to have an option to get rid of the task if I don’t want any of the items???

After you complete every single available storyline (maybe including all businesses because I have every business not too sure though) if you have no other tasks, Simon calls you and you get a chance to win K stars for doing a 6 hour task.
But if you have to work a business, take your SO on a date, or have a 4 day “buy horrible outfits” task, Simon does not call
